Dermal Fillers

Woman Having Lip Botox
Neck and Chin

Dermal fillers are a type of cosmetic treatment used to address facial volume loss, wrinkles, and fine lines. They are commonly employed in aesthetic procedures to enhance facial contours, address areas of concern and restore a more youthful/ refreshed appearance.

I only use hyaluronic acid (HA) based fillers, which contain a high level of hyaluronic acid, which attracts and retains water, giving skin its elasticity, providing hydration and volume. Some advantages of HA fillers include:

Reversibility

Biodegradable

Naturally occurring and immunologically compatible

Excellent safety profile

Dermal fillers are used to soften wrinkles and folds, particularly in areas such as the nasolabial folds (lines around the nose and mouth), marionette lines, and lip lines.

They are also employed to enhance facial features, such as cheekbones and lips, and to address volume loss in areas like the temples and under-eye hollows, making skin look plumper and more youthful.

At the Devon Aesthetic Clinic, only the highest quality CE approved fillers are used and purchased from aesthetic pharmacies.

FAQ's

Are there any risks?

While dermal fillers are generally safe, there are potential risks and complications, such as infection, allergic reactions, or migration of the filler. These risks will be discussed with you during the consultation to allow you to make an informed decision.

How long will it take to recover from the treatment?

Downtime after dermal filler injections is usually minimal, with many clients returning to their normal activities immediately.

Common side effects may include redness, swelling, and bruising at the injection site, but these typically resolve within a few days.

How long will the treatment take?

Can fillers be removed?

Treatments usually take up to an hour, however this may be longer depending on the chosen treatment and I will allow plenty of time to ensure the best results are achieved.

How long will the results last?

Everyone is different and so, this can vary. However, on average, results tend to last between 6-18 months.

Yes, I use only hyaluronic acid based fillers, which can be dissolved using an injection containing hyaluronidase.
